Description: Students will review the fundamentals of hot glassblowing with continual emphasis on teamwork and communication. The class will focus on building on these basics to work more efficiently, creating more intricate objects faster and easier. Building upon the sphere, students will learn to manipulate the material into a variety of shapes, from simple to complex.

Bio: Nate Cotterman received his BFA from the Cleveland Institute of Art in Cleveland, OH. He has taught and worked with glassmakers such as Therman Statom, Benjamin Moore, Adam Holzinger, and Joe Cariati. Nate is currently a gaffer at Joe Cariati Industries.
